Welcome to the GIPChaSA Community

Welcome to the official platform for the Great Ife Physically Challenged Students Association (GIPChaSA).

We are a vibrant, unified body of students committed to advocacy, support, and excellence within the entire Obafemi Awolowo University community. GIPChaSA is the collective strength, the guiding voice, and the catalyst for equitable change for all our members.

Our mission is clear and non-negotiable: to ensure every physically challenged student not only has equal and unfettered access to education but is also fully equipped and empowered to thrive academically, socially, and professionally. We believe that passion and intellect know no physical bounds, and our purpose is to prove it daily.

We work tirelessly and strategically to break down physical, systemic, and attitudinal barriers across the campus. Our efforts include:

• Infrastructure Advocacy: Ensuring the design and maintenance of accessible infrastructure—from ramps and accessible restrooms to suitable hostel accommodation and lecture hall modifications.
• Welfare and Empowerment: Securing vital welfare support, learning materials, and resources that help level the playing field for our members.
• Mentorship and Unity: Running strong mentorship programs that foster solidarity and provide essential guidance, making the transition to university life seamless.
